I certainly agree that it would be hard to field them both in a 2000 pts game, but I don't really see this as a major problem, as fielding 2 such iconic (and dangerous if the fluff is something to go by) characters in such a small army is a bit of a stretch anyhow. A normal Wight King is already mopre than tough enough. Besides, such a tough character being the BSB is a bit unfair in 8th ed. I would not let him be the BSB, as it is not according to the fluff, and A Dark Lord of nagash carrying the army banner around seems a bit odd to me. Ridden Monster option? I know the model is on foot originally, but in the latest Gotrek novel he was on an undead wyvern if I'm not mistaking. I'm thinking some kind of Ward save here, although I liked the -1 to all Strenght attacks vs him as well. If I'm not mistaking, an organ gun was needed to kill him outside the walls of Altdorf. In the novels he is described as near indestructible, even Gotrek struggling to wound him. Black armour should be some sort of Chaos armour in my opinion. Considering that he was a former champion of khorne (and I imagine that once you have sworn your soul to a chaos god, it is not that easy for a necromancer to usurp it), I would consider giving him Freny, even though he is undead. Dwarves, I would give him hatred vs Dvarves and all dvarves hatred vs him in return (he is listed in the book of grudges numerous times after all). I'm not going to argue on point costs as such, just add some thoughts on using Krell as a character in WHFB (8th ed). It just seems a bit odd to me that a nearly indestructible Dark Lord of Nagash should be a hero choice, but in a VC list in 7th I can fully understand why he is considered a Hero choice because of how the character allowance system wored. Now, I have to say that I am considering Krell and Kemmler to come from the LORDS section in 8th ed. I am considering adding both Krell and Kemmler to my Legions of Nagashizzar army list (as Krell is a Dark Lord of Nagash after all), and as such I have some other thougts on Krell, some based on the fluff found in the latest books where he is included (the Sigmar Triology and the latest Gotrek and Felix novel). I hope also that people are happy with my custom special rules and magic armor, i saw him more as a damage mitigation sort of character, rather than magical avoidance (ward save). I have not changed the way magic weapon removes killing blow from wight blades as i think that coupled with the ability to strike with the black axe using his initiative would overpower him, any thoughts? I think these rules would be workable, he is powerful, as an undead champion should be, but I think he still fits into the hero level of power.

All wight models (graveguard, wight kings and black knights) are able to march if they are within 6' of krell, treating him as if he had the vampire special rule.

Krell is a dark champion and one of the most powerful wight kings ever raised, a measure of his power extends out to other wights around him. in addition, any attacks allocated to kemmler outside of a challenge must be resolved against krell. If Krell is in base contact with heinrich kemmler, his base is treated as if it includes kemmlers, allowing him to fight anything his master could fight. Krell was resurrected by the lichemaster and serves as his bodyguard in battle. All attacks made against krell are at -1 strength, this includes all shooting and magic missile attacks Its hardness protects krell from the worst of the enemies blows. such is krell's skill with his axe he does not suffer the always striking last penalty for great weapons, instead striking in initiavive order.ДЇull plate armor, this armor is made of the material as the black axe. any model that loses a wound to the black axe must pass a toughness test at the start of each of its subesquent turns or suffer an additional wound. black shards break off and dig into the victims heart. Great weapon, each unsaved wound done by the black axe of krell is multiplied into D3 wounds. I would agree that these rules are very overpowered, this would be my attemp at a Krell.
